Infant Feeding In-Person Class August 17

Our Infant Feeding Classes are recommended for parents during weeks 30-37 of pregnancy and are strongly suggested for families interested in learning more about infant feeding, including breastfeeding. Breastfeeding, chest feeding, and bottle feeding methods will be discussed in the Infant Nutrition Class, as well as how to maintain milk with latching difficulties, while pumping, and beyond.

  • Number of classes: 1 (1.5 hours)
  • Frequency of offering: every 6 weeks
  • Cost (includes registration for up to 2 people):
    • Full price: $30
    • Employee price: $22.50
    • RRH Women’s Center patients: FREE

UMMC is a Baby-Friendly Hospital offering the golden hour after birth for bonding, Lactation Consultant assistance while in the hospital, and discharge support. A continuum of care and support provided by trained and board-certified Lactation Consultants can address important challenges in infant feeding, establish skills for breastfeeding, and competency and confidence among mothers.
